We are recovering. I had plans to call you tonight but there is that five letter swear word for Friday.. S N O W..... and I had to get tires for the car (S N O W tires...).
The short form.. this was Questa's 3rd time showing in rated classes and she has received an SG rating under 3 different judeges. She has been as high as SG 2 out os 6 (Orange County Schaeferhund Klub). That Club did really well at the show with Shabbaz getting an SG 1 with his male and Molly Kuehn and her sone Pat owning the Seigeren. There bitch was also VA 1 Seigeren at the Canadian Natrional Show.
Zambo, my hero, got VA 4 and did solid courage work. The Seiger dog did not do as well in the bite work in my judgement (which is fairly lacking in knowledge and experience). The working bitches were a sad lot. the good ones were really good.. but most were stick shy. It was interesting as you could see what different training methods did to dogs (and so I will not use them on my dog).
Xeph showed up and I never got to say anything to her. I was just too busy. Pro'ly just as well. LOL

Grats on the SG!!! I was there as well and though I thought Xeph was there lol she claims it was someone else that she went back wherever she's from to see her mom. She has now recently posted that she is not getting a pup from Molly now. because Molly will not have the right puppy for her? What the heck is that supposed to mean whatever.
I did not get to catch up with you, as I was not showing I was helping to try and catch the loose dog. I did see Maris dogs in the ring. I saw several other classes. I did not see your class so I did not know who you were to introduce myself to you. I had a blast. You dog would not have received an SG at the highly competitive age group she was in if the did not deserve it and it was a good placement. That is one of the roughest age groups to compete in and really is is about the rating not where placed. A high placement at that age is very difficult. It is more about your dog is worth an SG so is an SG. It is a shame Yvonne had to miss out as I was really looking forward to enjoy catching up with her there. I am spending the weekend at her place with the videos I took though.

I know it was a good placing. I did get to see a lot of lovely dogs... and some not so much. The usual players and rumors flying around. I don't get into all that.
My friend's puppy got a VP 8 in the 6-9 month age group. Questa's sister is a LSC and placed 3rd in a class of 7 LSC females all from the same kennel. Apparently this kennel is going to breed LSC dogs on Long Island.
Today (sunday) I woke up to about 4 inches of SNOW on the ground. It started yesterday when I was at the Hudson Valley Rottweiler club trial (there were other breeds trialing).
Questa has recovered well from the show (much better than I!!). We are now focusing on obedience training to go for the BH and then we will go from there.
